Ground Current Videos

Ground Current Videos
magdahavas.com, 27 July 2016

I am going to post a series of educational videos that I am producing on the ground current pollution problem we are experiencing not only in Ontario but in other provinces and in other countries, like the U.S. Most people are unaware of this form of electromagnetic pollution. However, it is getting worse and needs to be dealt with. Ground current is a problem not only in some rural areas but in urban areas as well. We have considerable information about how it affects livestock, especially dairy cows. It also affects people and non-agriculture animals.

Attempts to bring in a private member’s bill in Ontario to resolve the ground current pollution problem has failed twice now, first in 2006 and again this year. I have no hope that this government is going to do anything useful about the ground current problem. Nor do I think a change in government will make any difference. Our electrical utility, that is responsible for much of this problem, is being sold to the private sector and I certainly don’t think they will spend the money to get the current out of the ground.

IARC's Report on Glyphosate

In relation to the previous post, read here how Monsanto lies about the safety of its product, glyphosate.

IARC's Report on Glyphosate
monsanto.com

Glyphosate has a long history of safe use. In evaluations spanning four decades, the overwhelming conclusion of experts worldwide has been that glyphosate, when used according to label directions, does not present an unreasonable risk of adverse effects to humans, wildlife or the environment.

In March 2015, IARC convened a meeting to evaluate the potential carcinogenic risks to humans from several pesticides, including glyphosate, an active ingredient in many popular herbicides, including Roundup brand herbicides. After that meeting the IARC panel classified glyphosate in Category 2A, a category that also includes red meat.

Based on the overwhelming weight of evidence, Monsanto strongly disagrees with IARC’s classification of glyphosate.

Switzerland: Awareness of Health Risks of Wireless Technology?

Switzerland:  Awareness of Health Risks of Wireless Technology?
by Meris Michaels, 29 July 2016

Awareness of the health risks of wireless technology in French-speaking Switzerland ("Suisse Romande") is at best poor, worse - almost non-existent.  There are only a few doctors diagnosing and treating electrosensitivity, although physicians practicing holistic or integrative medicine may be doing so.  Such doctors are rare and cannot take on new patients. There seems to be an unhealthy collusion among doctors to ignore this issue, either out of ignorance, because wireless is everywhere in their offices and in hospitals and clinics, medical education does not include emerging environmental illnesses in its curriculum, and/or they are scared to go against the powerful telecoms industry which is a vital part of the Swiss economy.

We doubt that "Suisse Romande" has ever heard of the environmental medicine counselling structure for electrohypersensitive persons established by the Society of Doctors for the Environment.  One health insurance company promotes mobile phone subscriptions for families, including young children.  Confronted by an advocacy group for safer wireless, they replied by asking for the names of the group's committee members and saying, the group's description of risks was "alarmist".  A major department store sells babyphones for very young children.  The group drew attention to health risks and to the harmful exposure of factory workers in China producing these and received a defensive reply.  Others, who have written to the health and disability insurance authorities, have received unsatisfactory replies.  And yet, the health warnings are there on the sites of the federal government, the Cancer League, and in manuals for mobile phones, virtual reality headsets, smart watches, etc.

Brain Tumours Now the Most Frequent Form of Cancer in U.S. Adolescents

Brain Tumours Now the Most Frequent Form of Cancer in U.S. Adolescents:  Ground-Breaking American Study
c4st.org, 2016

Are worst fears about mobile phones being realized?

Sobering statistics

Brain tumours are now the leading cancer in American adolescents, and incidence is rising in young adults according to the largest, most comprehensive analysis of these age groups to date.

Canada is undoubtedly similar. “The astounding increases reported in this study, especially in young people, mirror what I am seeing in my clinic,” responded Dr. Jacob Easaw, from the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary. “Canada is in the process of establishing a comparable brain tumour registry, so these analyses will not be available here for 15 or 20 years. I am increasingly convinced that mobile phones are a major cause, and urgent action is needed.”

Time for a cancer prevention strategy for young Canadians!

Full text available here.

Abstract

Electromagnetically sensitized people may develop symptoms and health problems, when exposed to certain types of electromagnetic fields (EMF), known as electrical hypersensitivity (EHS). Over time, the effects may become stronger if such exposure continues. The Dutch EHS Foundation is committed to finding ways to understand these phenomena and to doing something about it. This study reports the results of a research questionnaire distributed among EHS people before and after that they had taken measures to reduce their exposure to EMF. Information requested included (1) the types of symptoms that people reported, and (2) the  effects of EMF reduction strategies on the disappearance of EHS symptoms and improvement of well-being.

Soaring Numbers of Teenagers Are Being Diagnosed with Tinnitus

"After headaches, tinnitus is one of the most common symptoms of
electromagnetic hypersensitivity"
#tinnitus #EHS
The conclusion of a 2016 scientific paper on tinnitus and cell phones states: "This study collected evidence for the association between exposure to EMRFR [electromagnetic radiofrequency radiaiton] and tinnitus in some patients, particularly those suffering from electromagnetic hypersensitivity. While it is not fully confirmed, the authors consider it appropriate to direct more attention to cell phone use in the diagnostic investigation of patients with hearing disorders, especially tinnitus. (Click here for text of study.)

The Daily Mail journalist shares what one of the authors of the study has to say, but does not mention the possible role of electromagnetic radiation in causing tinnitus.

Are teenagers making themselves DEAF by listening to music? Surge in early tinnitus could mean scores of millennials 'lose hearing before they hit 40'

- Tinnitus is increasingly common in teenagers, a new study has found
- But young people do not seem concerned to see a doctor about it
- Experts warn it could lead to widespread hearing loss in years to come Scores of millennials could be deaf by the time they reach 40 - because they're listening to music too loud, a new study claims.

Soaring numbers of teenagers are being diagnosed with tinnitus, a permanent ringing or hissing sound in your ear that is a key symptom of hearing loss.

Your Inhaler's Watching You: Drugmakers Race For Smart Devices

Your Inhaler's Watching You: Drugmakers Race For Smart Devices
by Reuters, 20 July 2016

LONDON (Reuters) - Makers of inhalers to treat asthma and chronic lung disease are racing to develop a new generation of smart devices with sensors to monitor if patients are using their puffers properly.

Linked wirelessly to the cloud, the gadgets are part of a medical "Internet of Things" that promises improved adherence, or correct use of the medication, and better health outcomes. They may also hold the key to company profits in an era of increasingly tough competition.

Drugmakers believe giving patients and doctors the ability to check inhaler use in this way could be a big help in proving the value of their medicines to governments and insurers, though they need to tread carefully on data privacy.

GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca and Novartis are all chasing the opportunity via deals with device firms including U.S.-based Propeller Health and Australian-listed Adherium, as well as technology players like Qualcomm.

The internet is often called the “World Wide Web,” but it’s not actually accessible to residents of a large portion of the world. Today, four billion people are offline, and 1.6 billion of them live in sparsely populated areas around the world.

In recent years, a race to solve that problem has emerged among big tech companies like Google, SpaceX and Facebook. Now, Facebook has published research on an unconventional solution: using light to wirelessly transmit internet signals. The work comes from a Facebook-led initiative called Internet.org, which, according to the initiative's website, has so far brought internet access to more than 25 million people.

Forced exposure to EMF radiation at work
geovital.com,

Is your health put at risk for your employer’s profitability through radiation producing technology at work?

You see it more and more. Employees pretty much forced to be exposed to unnecessary EMF radiation by their employers because technological innovations make for a more productive and profitable business. Given that science is much divided about the risks of EMF radiation exposure (and the radiation exposure employees are subjected to may very well be under the governmental exposure limits) how do you bring up your desire not be exposed to unnecessary EMF radiation without being labeled a ‘difficult’ employee and perhaps having your career possibilities, or even employment term, immediately reduced?

Emails Reveal Role of Monsanto in Séralini Study Retraction

Emails reveal role of Monsanto in Séralini study retraction
gmwatch.org, 20 July 2016

Editor at the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology invited Monsanto scientists to review a study that found toxic effects from Monsanto products, reports French newspaper Le Monde

In September 2012 the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology (FCT) published the research of a team led by the French biologist Professor Gilles-Eric Séralini, which found liver and kidney toxicity and hormonal disturbances in rats fed Monsanto’s GM maize NK603 and very small doses of the Roundup herbicide it is grown with, over a long-term period. An additional observation was a trend of increased tumours in most treatment groups.

In November 2013 the study was retracted by the journal’s editor, A. Wallace Hayes, after the appointment of a former Monsanto scientist, Richard E. Goodman, to the editorial board and a non-transparent review process by nameless people that took several months.

Turin could slash Wi-Fi over 'radiation' concernsthelocal.it, 25 July 2016

Turin is planning to cut back on Wi-Fi in state schools and government buildings over concerns that radiation might damage people's health.

The plans were outlined last week as the city's new new Five Star Movement (M5S) mayor, Chiara Appendino, presented her council's five-year political plan.

“We're aware that we need to consider electromagnetic radiation when we speak about pollution,” reads page 23 of the council's programme.

“We would like to take all precautions necessary and ask all public structures to work to reduce the volume of emissions and while guaranteeing connectivity for citizens.”

Could an iPad Hold Your Baby Back? Scientists Study the Effects of Tablets on Children

[Our comment:  This article does not mention the potentially harmful effects of exposing very young children to radiofrequency radiation.  One research group is investigating how use of touchscreen devices by children aged 6 months to 3 years influences their cognitive, brain and social development.  The experiment involves placing a rubbery cap covered in electrodes on the baby's head to measure the electrical activity in his brain.  A smartwatch is placed on each ankle to monitor movement and heart rate, probably without mentioning to the mother that "smart" technology emits harmful radiation.  The experiment is part of the Tablet project in the Babylab at Birkbeck, University of London.]

Why Are Doctors Plagued by Depression and Suicide?

Molly Ferguson for Stat
[Our comment:  We are reading more and more about burn-out affecting doctors. There has always been tremendous pressure in medical school and most doctors have to work very long hours.  But what is new?  Are we less reticent about talking about it?  Could one of the causes be exposure to electro-magnetic radiation from and wide use of wireless technology (fostering less communication, sleep disturbances) - now ubiquitous in universities, doctors' offices, and hospitals? And, as mentioned here, the greater "dehumanization" of medicine?]

Why are doctors plagued by depression and suicide? A crisis comes into focus

A sense of angst was rattling students at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine. One of their peers had taken his life days before.

Professor Mikel Snow felt the dark undercurrent and knew he had to speak up. So, for the first time, he told his students about his decades-long struggle with depression. As word spread, students across the campus started contacting him to discuss the suicide — and to share their own psychological distress.

U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Sees "Many Causes" of Autism

CDC Sees “Many Causes” of Autism
by Jack O'Dwyer, odwyerpr.com, 20 July 2016

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, responding to this website, says there are many causes of autism and it is “not specifically looking at different sources of radiation” as a possible cause.

CDC, whose budget for 2016 is $11.5 billion, has been headed since 2009 by Dr. Tom Frieden.

The email statement from the CDC News Media Branch is as follows.

“Autism Spectrum Disorders is a complex disorder, and most scientists who study ASD believe that there is no single cause. We have learned that there are likely many causes for multiple types of ASD. There may also be many different factors that make a child more likely to have ASD, including environmental and genetic factors. Understanding more about these factors will help us learn more about the causes.

Job Accommodation for Individuals with Electromagnetic Sensitivity

Accommodation Ideas for Electromagnetic Sensitivity
askjan.org (U.S. Department of Labor website)

There are people who report a sensitivity to electromagnetic sensitivity. Although it has been difficult for the environmental health and medical communities to define, individuals with electromagnetic sensitivity report various symptoms including but not limited to fatigue, weakness, neurological issues, immunological issues, gastrointestinal issues, increased irritability, lack of ability to think clearly and quickly, sleep disturbance, overall malaise, and anxiety.

Despite the medical community's difficulty in defining electromagnetic sensitivity, individuals with the condition may benefit from job accommodations. The following is a quick overview of some of the accommodations that might be useful. To discuss an accommodation situation with a consultant, contact JAN directly.

Abstract

This paper constructs persons with environmental sensitivities as comprising a hidden, marginalized group in technological culture that is paying a large price for our industrialized lifestyle. Due to the polluted nature of most public venues, this population is robbed of a sense of ‘‘place’’ necessary to maintain personal relationships. This population is marginalized by health-care providers and shunted into mental health categories, as our current health paradigms are not adequate to frame and categorize health problems caused by our toxic industrial lifestyle. The problem is discussed within the context of the pressures of capitalism, and examples are given of persons with environmental illness receiving mental health diagnoses (an attempted colonization) when they attempt to access mainstream health-care providers who lack knowledge or expertise regarding toxic-induced illness.

Before this nation makes Wi-Fi in schools like it is in coffee shops, as the president recently urged, we need to consider what this could do to our children’s brains and bodies. Three years ago the World Health Organization declared cell phone and other wireless radiation a “possible human carcinogen,” — the same category as some pesticides, lead and engine exhausts. Since then evidence has mounted that such radiation can profoundly affect human biology, altering brain metabolism, damaging animals exposed during pregnancy and reducing sperm count. Before blanketing our pre-schools, kindergartens and middle schools with wireless radiation, we need a full life-cycle assessment of economic and health costs and benefits of wireless technology.

"Disastrous" Autism Rate in Children Blamed on Radiation

"Disastrous" Autism Rate in Children Blamed on Radiation
by Jack O'Dwyer, odwyerpr.com, 19 July 2016

The number of children diagnosed with autism has exploded from one in 10,000 several decades ago to one in 68, according to Centers for Disease Control & Prevention.

Among those searching for reasons for the explosion are Rep. Dan Barton (R-Ind.), who calls it “worse than an epidemic, an absolute disaster,” and Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-New York), representing much of the East Side, who blames it on excessive vaccinations of children.

Autism is defined by CDC as a range of functional disabilities including lack of social skills, intellectual disability and language impairment. Victims may engage in repetitive movements or unusual behaviors such as flapping their arms or rocking from side to side.

Is artificial lighting making us sick? New evidence in mice
medicalexpress.com, 14 July 2016

Along with eating right and exercising, people should consider adding another healthy habit to their list: turning out the lights. That's according to a new study reported in the Cell Press journal Current Biology on July 14 showing many negative health consequences for mice kept under conditions of constant light for a period of months.

"Our study shows that the environmental light-dark cycle is important for health," says Johanna Meijer of Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands. "We showed that the absence of environmental rhythms leads to severe disruption of a wide variety of health parameters."

"In 1990, Cleary published a paper in Radiation Research that would help shape the last years of his research career. He showed that microwaves modulated the growth of human brain tumor (glioma) cells. The results were provocative. At relatively low intensities (5 W/Kg) the tumor cells proliferated at a greater rate following a single two-hour exposure and they were still growing abnormally five days later..."

An Insider Unafraid To Challenge the Microwave Orthodoxy
microwavesnews.com, 14 July 2016

Steve Cleary, whose career in microwave research spanned from the military’s Tri-Service program in the late 1950s to the cell phone industry’s sham project in the 1990s, died at home on June 7 of a heart attack. He leaves his wife, Fran, four daughters and ten grandchildren.

Cleary was a professor of biophysics at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond from 1964 to 2002. Like many other radiobiologists of his generation, he was trained at the University of Rochester. He later got his PhD at New York University under Merril Eisenbud, a former senior health official at the Atomic Energy Commission. Cleary’s doctoral thesis was the first epidemiological study of the impact of microwaves on the eyes. He detected a significant increase in the incidence of defects in the lenses of military personnel who had long-term exposure, a rare published report of an adverse finding.

California: Complaint by Families Filed Against State Regarding Forced Vaccine Mandate for Schools

There are two serious vaccine issues here:

1. Amended Complaint against SB 277:
"The strongly worded Amended Complaint depicts an irrational, punitive, and unconstitutional scheme. The pleading reveals the rushed and shoddy passage of SB 277 through the Legislature, where children with vaccine personal belief exemptions were scapegoats for the famous Disneyland measles outbreak they did not cause. The Amended Complaint depicts doctors too intimidated to write medical exemptions... It reveals the impractical nature and economic hardship of homeschooling for many families..." (Ref. edu4allnow.org article - see below.)

2. Collusion by California counties to collect vaccine waiver data:
Counties are colluding to collect waiver data... It appears to be an effort to discipline doctors who issue waivers... Doctors remain vulnerable to losing their license if they honestly believe a vaccine is not in the best interest of the child. Medical decisions about said child will be made by public health totalitarians and then, if this collusion is perfected, enforced by the Medical Board.

What will be next imposed upon us by the Pharma government owners? Will we be forced to stuff statins down your throat for vascular conditions? Will the next flu epidemic see all of us hauled off to prison for failure to permit injections of vaccines...? (Ref. Dr. Rowen - see below)

Folks, there is a lot of hot debate regarding Gardisil vaccine. This is the vaccine supposed to crash the risk of HPV induced cancer, including cervix in women, and perhaps pharyngeal in both sexes. I have an abstract for you to read regarding this vaccine.

Abstract

According to the latest pharmacovigilance data, the incidence of serious adverse reactions to HPV vaccine is 3.2% per year (3,200 cases per 100,000 person-years). This is similar to the incidence rate of serious adverse events within 1.2 years after the first vaccination (annual rate of 2.8%) reported in randomized controlled trials (RCT) for Cervarix.

Smartphones’ Electromagnetic Interference Can Affect Pacemakers In Patients

Smartphones’ Electromagnetic Interference Can Slightly Affect Pacemakers In Patients
by Pauline Angela Quiambao,
thenewsindependent, 19 June 2016

Patients with heart conditions that requires them to have a pacemaker to regulate their heartbeat should be warned against the harmful effects of smartphones to the device.

“Pacemakers can mistakenly detect electromagnetic interference (EMI) from smartphones as a cardiac signal, causing them to briefly stop working, this leads to a pause in the cardiac rhythm of the pacing dependent patient and may result in syncope. For implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) the external signal mimics a life-threatening ventricular tachyarrhythmia, leading the ICD to deliver a painful shock,” explained author Dr. Carsten Lennerz, a cardiology resident in the Clinic for Heart and Circulatory Diseases at the German Heart Centre.

Increased Incidence of Thyroid Cancer in the Nordic Countries with Main Focus on Swedish Data

"We postulate that the whole increase cannot be attributed to better diagnostic procedures. Increasing exposure to ionizing radiation, e.g. medical computed tomography (CT) scans, and to RF-EMF (non-ionizing radiation) should be further studied."

Abstract

Background

Radiofrequency radiation in the frequency range 30 kHz–300 GHz was evaluated to be Group 2B, i.e. ‘possibly’ carcinogenic to humans, by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) at WHO in May 2011. Among the evaluated devices were mobile and cordless phones, since they emit radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF). In addition to the brain, another organ, the thyroid gland, also receives high exposure. The incidence of thyroid cancer is increasing in many countries, especially the papillary type that is the most radiosensitive type.

- USDA passes on oversight of cooking oil new to store shelves
- Monsanto, DuPont, Dow developing crops with the new technology

Products made possible through gene-editing have landed on grocery shelves. Whether they’ll stay there is up to shoppers wary of technological tinkering.

Food companies are now required to label GMOs in Vermont, and debate is raging over a federal standard. But so far, regulators at the U.S. Department of Agriculture have taken a pass on overseeing gene-edited crops. They say cutting DNA from a plant is not the same as adding genes from another organism. So corn injected with outside DNA is classified a genetically modified organism, but canola that can tolerate herbicide because scientists removed a gene is not.

United States: FCC Approves 5G Broadband Rules, Promising Faster Wireless Services

"This is alarming to some health advocates, who say that at least 10% of the population has already developed "electro-sensitivity" -- heightened sensitivity to wireless transmissions, similar to allergies. 'We are currently in the midst of an epidemic,' said Dafna Tachover, CEO of 'We Are The Evidence,' an advocacy group representing people who say they have been injured by wireless radiation."

Some consumer groups say the commission has not adequately studied the health risks

As expected, the Federal Communications Commission today voted to adopt new wireless broadband rules that will open up so-called "5G" networks that will move more data faster than ever before.

The vote opens frequencies above 24 GHz, a move the FCC says makes the United States "the first country in the world to make this spectrum available for next generation wireless services," but the decision is causing static among health advocates who say it disregards a growing body of evidence that wireless communications is to blame for a supposed epidemic of brain cancers.

United States: FCC Approves High-Band Spectrum Support for 5G Services

Joel Moskowitz, an expert on radio frequency emissions with UC Berkeley, says there's barely any research on the health effects of 3G and 4G, much less 5G. He notes that a recent comprehensive government study showed a small but significant percentage of male rats exposed to lifelong 2G cell phone radiation developed cancerous or precancerous cells.  "I don't think we should blindly plow ahead and unleash these new technologies on the public because we're experimenting with the public,” he stresses. “We'd be saturating people's environments with this new form of man-made radiation."  (Ref:  "FCC Votes Today on Opening Additional Wireless Spectrum for 5G")

Wi-Fi Health Advocate Asks FCC to Test 5G Before Rollout
by Jack O'Dwyer, odwyerpr.com, 14 July 2016

Ellen Marks, chair of the California Brain Tumor Assn., has asked the FCC to postpone action on the new “5G” wireless technology until there is “pre-market safety testing.”

FCC is set to rule on the proposal today.

Marks earlier this year published a list of more than 300 high-profile victims of brain cancer including Ted Kennedy, Robert Novak, Johnnie Cochran, Pete Rozelle, Tug McGraw, Bobbie Murcer, Seve Ballesteros and Yves St. Laurent.

The victims she tracked were professionals of one type or prominent for one reason or another. She became interested in the topic after her husband, Alan, survived a brain tumor in 2008. He was a 20-year cellphone user who was “wedded” to it, she said.

A victim not on her list was AT&T VP-PR Marilyn Laurie, who died of brain cancer in 2010.

Thirty of the victims were in their 40’s; 81 in their 50’s, and 86 in their 60’s. So many people should not be dying so young of a disease that previously was so rare, she contends.

Abstract

Studies in mice have shown that environmental electromagnetic waves tend to suppress the murine immune system with a potency similar to NSAIDs, yet the nature of any Electrosmog effects upon humans remains controversial. Previously, we reported how the human Vitamin-D receptor (VDR) and its ligand, 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin-D (1,25-D), are associated with many chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. We have shown how olmesartan, a drug marketed for mild hypertension, acts as a high-affinity partial agonist for the VDR, and that it seems to reverse disease activity resulting from VDR dysfunction. We here report that structural instability of the activated VDR becomes apparent when observing hydrogen bond behavior with molecular dynamics, revealing that the VDR pathway exhibits a susceptibility to Electrosmog. Further, we note that characteristic modes of instability lie in the microwave frequency range, which is currently populated by cellphone and WiFi communication signals, and that the susceptibility is ligand dependent. A case series of 64 patient-reported outcomes subsequent to use of a silver-threaded cap designed to protect the brain and brain stem from microwave Electrosmog resulted in 90 % reporting ‘‘definite’’ or ‘‘strong’’ changes in their disease symptoms. This is much higher than the 3–5 % rate reported for electromagnetic hypersensitivity in a healthy population and suggests that effective control of environmental Electrosmog immunomodulation may soon become necessary for successful therapy of autoimmune disease.

New Device Detects Disease Before You Have It

Scientist holds biosensor chip.
"This biochip would be easy to implant, swift to respond, and inexpensive. The chip is comprised of a DNA probe which sits on a graphene field effect transistor. The probe is a double strand of DNA genetically engineered to contain a sequence of coding for a specific SNP. The chip captures DNA or RNA molecules that have a certain kind of mutation. When these molecules bind to the probe, it sends an electrical signal."

New Device Detects Disease before You Even Have it

Generally speaking, the farther along a serious illness is, the harder it is to cure or even manage. Many types of cancer such as colon, prostate, and breast cancer for instance, among the deadliest, give few if any symptoms before it’s too late. The earlier in its pathogenesis or development, the easier it is to manage and treat. Now, scientists have the means to detect serious illnesses before they begin.

Abstract

PURPOSE:
Smartphone use has dramatically increased in recent years. Smartphones may have adverse health effects, particularly on the eyes, because users stare at the screen for a much longer time than they do with ordinary mobile phones. The objective of this study was to elucidate the relationship between smartphone use and ocular symptoms among adolescents.

Cell Phones Linked to Weaker Bones

"Although small, the new study raises the possibility that long-term exposure to electromagnetic radiation from cell phones could adversely affect bone mineralization. Larger follow-up studies will be needed to confirm or disprove this hypothesis, according to Dr Sravi. He suggests that studies may be warranted in women, who have higher rates of osteoporosis; and children, who would have longer expected lifetime exposure to cell phones."

Common thing weakening your bones

(A summary of the study from Argentina follows this article.)

Everywhere you look, someone is carrying around a cell phone – many people see these devices as extensions of themselves. Whether in your purse, in your hands, or in your pocket, a cell phone is always within arm’s reach in case a text message, an email, or a phone call comes in. It doesn’t really matter how old you are, cell phones span across generations.

In addition to the previous studies reporting that cell phones may be hazardous to our health, a recent small study found new evidence – this time, with regards to our bone health.

Does Long-Term Exposure to 4G LTE Cell Phone Radiation Impair Cell Phone Users' Health?

Does long-term exposure to 4G LTE cell phone radiation impair cell phone users' health?
Electromagnetic Radiation Safety, May 2016

(Abstract and excerpts follow this summary)

Following is a summary of the second study published on the effects of 4th generation LTE cell phone radiation on the brain activity of cell phone users by the China Academy of Telecommunication Research of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The original study showed that 30 minutes of exposure to LTE phone radiation affected brain activity in the left superior temporal gyrus, left middle temporal gyrus, right superior temporal gyrus, right medial frontal gyrus and right paracentral lobule. The current study found that a 30-minute exposure to LTE radiation modulated the EEG in the alpha and beta bands at the frontal region of the near and remote sides, and at the temporal region on the near side.

By the end of 2013, 100 million cell phones in the U.S. operated on LTE. This number worldwide is expected to exceed 1 billion by the end of this year. Yet the one major study cell phone study being conducted in the U.S. examines the effects of 2nd generation cell phone technology.

Why don't the U.S. and other major nations conduct biological and health effects research on the latest cell phone and wireless technologies?

The Role of Electromagnetic Fields in Neurological Disorders

• Description of electromagnetic fields and evaluation of its possible effects on biological systems.
• The association between the electromagnetic field and neurodegenerative diseases.
• Experimental and clinical studies on the electromagnetic field.

Abstract

In the modern world, people are exposed to electromagnetic fields (EMFs) as part of their daily lives; the important question is “What is the effect of EMFs on human health?” Most previous studies are epidemiological, and we still do not have concrete evidence of EMF pathophysiology. Several factors may lead to chemical, morphological, and electrical alterations in the nervous system in a direct or indirect way. It is reported that non-ionizing EMFs have effects on animals and cells. The changes they bring about in organic systems may cause oxidative stress, which is essential for the neurophysiological process; it is associated with increased oxidization in species, or a reduction in antioxidant defense systems. Severe oxidative stress can cause imbalances in reactive oxygen species, which may trigger neurodegeneration. This review aims to detail these changes. Special attention is paid to the current data regarding EMFs’ effects on neurological disease and associated symptoms, such as headache, sleep disturbances, and fatigue.

Abstract

Children are exposed to various kind of non-ionizan radiation in their daily life involuntarily. The potential sensitivity of developing organism to the effects of radiofrequency (RF) signals, the higher estimated specific absorption rate (SAR) values of children and greater lifetime cumulative risk raised the scientific interest for children's vulnerability to electromagnetic fields (EMFs).

Effects of Electromagnetic Field Exposure on the Heart: A Systematic Review (First Published in 2013)

Creating Facebook was a bold move, but CEO Mark Zuckerberg just proposed what he said is an even bolder one: Curing all the world's diseases.

"While helping to connect the world will always be the most important thing that I do, there are more global challenges that I also feel a responsibility to help solve, to create a better world for my daughter and all future generations," Zuckerberg told investors in a conference call Wednesday. "Things like helping to cure all disease by the end of the century."

Chemtrails in Switzerland

Lately, we have noticed more and more "chemtrails" in the skies over Geneva. So much so, that we wrote the following opinion piece, published in the Tribune de Genève on 8 July. One "doubting Thomas" or should we say, "troll", phoned us to challenge the opinion, saying these were only condensation trails from planes, that special weather conditions were causing these to linger in the skies, and the newer reactors produced such trails. This person also does not believe that electromagnetic radiation emitted by wireless technologies may cause adverse health effects.

No better than GMOs...
Tribune de Genève, 8 July 2016

« Berne leaves the door open to GMOs », a technology which could threaten the health of man, animals, and the environment. And other technologies? For some time, on fair-weather days, we notice airplanes leaving vast white trails in the sky. Afterwards, the sky becomes white, gray, temperatures fall and sometimes, it rains. Are these planes spraying chemical substances? Who owns these planes? We fear the substances being sprayed are harmful to man and the environment. Agrochemical companies like Monsanto are developing GMOs resistant to these chemical substances, aluminum, for example, which affects the quality of the soil.

Nuclear Chemist Finds Cause of Explosion of Diseases Worldwide is Chemtrails Made Up of Toxic Coal Ash
by Ishtar Babilu Dingir, theholisticworks.com, 6 July 2015

As a 60-year-old, I find it bizarre when people insist that our blue skies were always criss-crossed with blurred white lines. In my memory, they really were not that way. Even 20 years ago, the skies were clearer and bluer, and the thinner contrails from aeroplanes, which are much higher up, dispersed within minutes … unlike the metallic sheen from chemtrails which blocks the sun for half the day.

But it seems that how ever much evidence is provided to show that chemtrailing is a real and present danger to humanity, many cannot face even looking up to see them for fear that their whole world view would then come tumbling down.

It seems that some people need to tell themselves stories – no matter how unlikely the plotlines – about their lives, in order to stay sane. They are like children who refuse to grow up … while the rest of us had to put away our toys some time ago. So I doubt this latest report will make much of an impact on them. But it is a welcome confirmation for those of us who are continually being told by the Child Catchers that we are crazy to ‘believe in’ chemtrails.

Based in Stockholm, Dr. Olle Johansson is a professor at the Karolinska Institute’s Experimental Dermatology Unit, Department of Neuroscience. He has spent years studying the effects of man-made electromagnetic fields. In 2006, he published a commentary in the Journal of the Australian College of Nutrition & Environmental Medicine with the title, “How shall we cope with the increasing amounts of airborne radiation?”

He says that today there is no doubt that artificial electromagnetic fields are potentially very harmful to us, and to life on the planet.
